Army Tug of War DASCB Coins Presentation and Runners Up for Army Sports Team of the Year 2021

The Director Army Sport Control Board, Major General Shaun Burley CB MBE, attended the Annual Dinner for Army Tug of War, who were runners up for the Army Sports Award Team of the Year in 2021. Major General Shaun Burley had great pleasure in awarding their runners up trophies, as well as DASCB Coins to several key members of the team in recognition of their huge commitment and dedication to their sport.

Mr John Gracie has been involved in the sport of Tug of War within the Army for his whole career when he was serving in the Royal Artillery 1978-2001.

Mr Gracie is nominated for this recognition due to his continued unwavering support of the sport within the Army over a period of 41 years.

WO1 Gareth Wyatt has been involved with Army Tug of War for the past 20 years contributing greatly to the sustainment and growth of the sport on several fronts.

Without WO1 Wyatt sacrificing all his spare time to this sport the team would not have had the success they have enjoyed over recent years. The assistance he gives to the secretary also guarantees that the sport continues to be offered to units across the Army in a safe and assured manner.
