The Army Sport Plan 2023-25

‘The Army Sport Plan 2023-25 reflects the importance and value the Army attaches to sport. Sport helps to prepare soldiers for operations by enhancing physical fitness, mental resilience, leadership, and teamwork. It fosters cohesion, pride, humility, the ability to thrive under pressure, the courage to overcome fear, and helps to forge winning teams. Whilst competitive, sport should also be enjoyable and contributes to the ‘Offer’ to our people. It therefore plays an important part in Army life, including recruiting and retention. The Army Sport executive team look forward to delivering the Army Sport Plan in support of and in collaboration with the many dedicated, professional and enthusiastic volunteers across 44 Army sports. We will do all we can to maximise participation in sport through opportunity for all.”
