*Vacancy* Infrastructure and Contracts Officer

Applications are invited for the full time post of Infrastructure and Contracts Officer (Infra & Contracts Offr) Army Sport Control Board. The Infra & Contracts Offr will be required to: initiate and staff sports infrastructure business cases to meet new infrastructure requirements; maintain a database of existing sport infrastructure, where it is and what standard it is at; develop and maintain information on sports infrastructure projects and leases. The incumbent will support the Director in recommending projects for consideration for funding by the ASCB Charitable Fund Trustees and then track their progress to delivery. A key aspect of the post is in support of Sports Officers in ensuring the suitability and maintenance of Army sports facilities in Aldershot and our other major Garrisons. The incumbent will also be the focus for facilities and contract management within HQ ASCB, liaising closely with Aldershot Garrison, Regional Command and contractors, to ensure the HQ ASCB staff in Fox Lines and sport officers are supported in delivering Army Sport.

The post is pretty general and requires some previous experience in the management and sustainment of infrastructure. Experience of Army and Defence (DIO) infrastructure delivery, especially in Infrastructure and Contract Management planning, delivery and funding processes and procedures, would be an advantage. The applicant should have experience in planning and running large infrastructure projects and experience in facilities and contract management. The post requires strong co-ordination and communication skills.
